The Federation is an umbrella organisation supporting all the Tenants & Resident groups throughout Newark & Sherwood district.
We are also here to help any tenant in the N.S.D. area with any issues relating to the Newark & Sherwood Homes. We also help residents with any issues they might have. In this day and age with the right to buy tenants and residents have to learn to live together side by side.
The Federation is also a monitoring body, monitoring the way Newark and Sherwood Homes work throughout the area, making sure that if there is an issue coming up that will affect tenants, the tenants have full information. We have had road shows, where officers from Kelham along with the Federation officers have gone out into the community to inform people of changes.
Within the Federation office we also have the Community Resource Centre, which is non profit making, this provides low cost photocopying, internet use, typing etc. for the community. We also have a selection of government leaflets on a range of topics free for people to take and read at their leisure, Please ask if you cannot see the topic you require.
