Newark & Sherwood Homes are now our main source of funding. We have to apply for our funding every year. Our books are independently audited 4 times per year, then our proposed budget is sent to Newark & Sherwood Homes, to be approved by the board.
Once that is done we are then told the amount we will be receiving in the new financial year which begins in April.
We do not always receive what we ask for, so then we have to revise our budget and normally make cutbacks in some areas.
We also receive some funding from Nottinghamshire County Council, again we have to produce a proposed budget and this has to be accepted.
We normally know if we are to get funding from them by April or May of that year.
Housing Associations are another valuable source of funding and with Housing Associations growing in size we are dealing with more and more of their Tenants.
Leicester Housing Association & Notts Community Housing Association have given us some funding in the past and we hope they continue to do so, as it is much appreciated.
